Dubai to Grant Golden Visas to Teachers
Authorities in Dubai will grant golden visas to teachers in private early childhood centers, schools, and higher education institutions.
The decision comes as an acknowledgement of the contributions that educators make to the educational landscape of Dubai, VisaGuide.World reports.
Through a statement, Sheikh Hamdan made the announcement on World Teacher’s Day while expressing his gratitude for teachers’ efforts in nurturing young minds.
He expressed gratitude to teachers for shaping the minds of young learners. At the same time, he stressed the importance of teachers in shaping the further development of the educational strategy.
New Initiative Aims to Attract Educators From Other Countries
The Golden Visa Program of Dubai grants foreigners residency in exchange for financial investments and meeting the needed conditions.
The Golden Visa Program of Dubai attracts a large number of internationals each year.
The figures from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) previously revealed that Dubai recorded a total of 52 per cent increase in the number of golden visas granted in the first half of last year.
Based on local media statistics, in November 20022, Dubai granted over 150,000 golden visas to foreign nationals.
As explained in a report from Arab Media, in the initial phase, the program will include outstanding educators from early childhood centers, private schools and international higher education institutions.
The new move aims to attract skilled educators to Dubai and encourage them to work in this territory.
Earlier this year, authorities in Dubai also announced the decision to grant golden visas to preachers who have served for more than 20 years. The decision came following an order issued by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and the Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.
The new changes will benefit imams, muezzins, preachers, Muftis and religious scholars who have worked in this territory for more than 20 years.
In addition, in a bid to attract a larger number of internationals, Dubai decided to lift the requirement of a minimum down payment of Dh1 million for its Golden Visa program.
Such a decision led to a significant increase in demand for Dubai’s Golden Visa Program.
