The factors that have been taken into consideration for this ranking include social integration indicators (friendliness towards Americans, English proficiency), income generation (gross earnings, taxes, financial flexibility), and benefits (healthcare system).

Slovakia Is the Worst Country to Move to for Americans

Slovakia is ranked the lowest on this list, scoring a total score of 19.11 out of 100. The English proficiency score (33.14), healthcare system (7.31), gross earnings and financial flexibility (3.57) are some of the factors that Slovakia lacked compared to other countries.

Bulgaria and Latvia are the second and third worst countries for Americans to move to, scoring a total of 19.81 and 19.91 points, respectively.

The best countries for Americans to move to in Europe are Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden.

Switzerland has stood out as the best country for Americans looking to move to Europe, scoring a perfect score of 100 for healthcare and financial flexibility. The total score was 70.28.

On the other hand, Norway has collected a total of 57.66 points, with the healthcare score being one of the highest on the list.

Romania & Bulgaria Are the Cheapest Countries for Americans

Malta had the highest score for English proficiency (100 out of 100), while Poland scored a maximum score of 100 for being the friendliest country for Americans.

Countries like Bulgaria and Romania have the lowest tax percentage (ten percent), while Belgium has the highest (50 percent).

Gross earnings were the highest in Switzerland ($8,017), Iceland ($5,640) and Denmark ($5,385). Countries with the lowest cost of living were Romania and Bulgaria ($657), and these countries also had the lowest rent – $412 and $390, respectively.
